How to order single vision glasses

How to order bifocal glasses

Getting your prescription top
Before you order, you need to have a copy of your prescription. You may already have a copy from a previous eye test, and providing it is less than two years old, you may use that one to order from us. Alternatively, call us at (416) 871 7251 to book an appointment for vision test. We do vision test for just $39.99 compared to $80 retail price. If you live far away from our office, you can simply walk into your local optical store and get your eye exams. Following the eye test, your optician is obliged to give you a copy of your prescription, and you shouldn't feel under pressure to purchase glasses from that same shop.

Reading your prescription top

If you can read your prescription then you are ready to browse our product categories, entering all the prescription details once your frame has been selected.

It is important that you enter ALL details written on the prescription. There may also be a value for your "PD" or pupillary distance. Anything written on your prescription, should be typed into our online order form, put on the mailing document, or related to our operators over the telephone.

If you have any difficulty or cannot read your prescription, we'll try our best to help you. You can call us on Tel: 905-624-9461 and Fax: 905-624-8309 to be helped through the prescription details, or alternatively send both to us at Super Eye Spex, 2810 Matheson Blvd E, Suite 134, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, L4W 4X7,

Ordering over the telephone top
Once you have chosen your frame from our website, you may call our customer service team on Tel: 905-624-9461 and Fax: (905) 624- 9461 who will take your order over the telephone or you can also Fax us your prescription. They will talk you through different lens options, and ask for your prescription details.

How to order single vision glasses top
Single vision lenses are our standard lens and are what is required by most of our customers. They are made to your prescription strength and either suit glasses for customers with 'short-sightedness' or 'long-sightedness'. We recommend them to everyone who has not been specifically advised to get bifocal or other lenses.

Single vision lenses are included in the price – that's right – you really can get a complete pair of custom made prescription glasses for just $60 instead of the $300 minimum rate in various optical stores!
.

How to order bifocal glasses top
Bifocal lenses can be ordered at an extra charge of only $100 compared to $250 in various optical stores, and are for customers who require 2 strengths of lenses.
As standard we use D28 bifocal lenses. These are 28mm wide "D" shaped segments that are positioned vertically 3mm below the centre of the lens and horizontally are centred on your pupillary distance.

If you would like them to be positioned further up or down (higher or lower) then do state on your order.
We can also make up D35 bifocal lenses which at 35mm are slightly wider, and executive bifocals that stretch across the whole width of the lens. If you would prefer either of these options then do call us on (905) 624- 9461 for an individual quote.

Just go through the normal order process, and choose 'bifocal lenses' as an optional extra on the 'Personalise your glasses' page.

Bifocals should only be requested if recommended by your optician. We recommend that customers requiring bifocal lenses ask their optician to make out the prescription for their glasses assuming that the glasses are worn 12-13mm from the eye (the back vertex distance).
